Quality Systems

Many organisations find benefit in basing their business / administrative activities on a formally documented Quality System. The most universally accepted standard for this work is ISO 9001:2000, which will now support all kinds of enterprise from a multi-national to a small business and from a Government department to a local council office.

Many organisations also find that they are obliged by their customers to comply with a ‘Sector Scheme’. Most sector schemes are conveniently based on ISO 9001 and so the extra requirements can usually be slotted conveniently into an existing framework. One of our specialist areas is Automotive and we can give full support to component manufacturers wishing to become approved to ISO/TS 16949.

Our mainstream area of work at present is assistance to companies who wish to become registered to ISO 9001:2000 either from scratch or through a ‘Transition’ process from an earlier version of ISO 9001/2.  Help is offered as follows:

• Guidance on the required 'Process Based' approach and identifying core processes

• Facilitating the identification by Management of Key Performance Indicators (Quality Objectives)

• Co-ordinating development of the Quality Manual and Operating Procedures

• Awareness training for management, existing staff and new hires

• In-depth training on required techniques eg  Process Analysis, Continual Improvement etc.

• Internal Audit training – Certificate of Attendance provided to each delegate

• Pre-assessment audits and, if required, on-going routine Internal Audit service.

We encourage clients' staff to be involved in system documentation as this helps to develop 'ownership', a deeper understanding and ongoing commitment. We will, however, develop full documentation, on client request.
